We were booked by the Alice Rose Trust for this year’s Charity Ball at the Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel. Our Chocolate Fountain went down very well with all the guests. The Alice Rose Trust was founded in December 2002 and was formed to commemorate and celebrate the life of Alice Rose Reuben. Alice was born on July 4th 2002 and was diagnosed shortly after birth with a rare metabolic disorder. She was transferred from hospital in Taunton to the intensive care unit at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where she was cared for 3 weeks. Despite a brave battle, she died just 4 weeks after she was born on 1st August 2002. The Alice Rose Trust is a charitable trust, established to accomplish several goals. In the first year of operation we supported the Children’s Hospital where Alice was so beautifully cared for, purchasing much needed monitoring equipment that allowed a new bed space to be opened up. This gave the potential to reduce the need for sick children from within the region to be transferred to destinations far from home during times when the intensive care unit is full

We have had another successful month of Chocolate Fountains.
The attached photos are of the lovely weddings we attended at Cumberwell park and the Barn Function Centre.
As the winter approaches we are now being contacted for Christmas parties, and even Halloween Parties! A green chocolate fountain is not something we get asked a lot for but we are willing to meet all requests!
We still have many dates available so if you would like our Chocolate Fountain at your Christmas party it’s not too late!
We also still have availability on New years eve – so if you are interested book us fast!
We are also making plans to attend some Christmas Fairs around the Bristol area, we will let you know which ones when the dates are confirmed.
We have had a very busy few months providing Chocolate Fountains for weddings at the Bristol Marriott, The Marriott Royal, The Ramada Grange, and The Barn Function Centre in Gloucester to name but a few. All fantastic venues and enjoyable events. Coming up in the next month we have Weddings at the Marriot again and also Cumberwell Park which we are looking forward to.
The World of Weddings Wedding Fair at the Bristol Marriott on Sunday went very well and we will soon be announcing the lucky winner of our competition who will win Free hire of our drinks fountain. Watch this space…

It was lovely to meet all the people at the fair who are planning their big days. Everyone seemed to enjoy tasting our Chocolate Fountain even though some people admitted to having Sunday hangovers and were a bit reluctant to try at first!
We had a lot of great feedback and comments especially about the taste of our chocolate and the way we display our dips. People also seemed to love the edible glitter we had sprinkled on them.
We had a comment from one lady who was surprised the chocolate was warm! – She said the fountain she had tasted before had cold chocolate and was also oily and didn’t stay on the dips! – We advised her that our Chocolate is always warm as at room temperature the chocolate would solidify. The only way of keeping chocolate runny if it was cold is to add lots of cooking oil! Cooking oil can also ruin the taste of the chocolate.
We advised her that we only use the best quality Belgian chocolate and only add natural Coco butter to make the chocolate run smoothly. We would never use cooking oil in our fountains!
Quite a few people were surprised by how cost effective having a fountain can be – as little as £2 per head (depending on time and number of guests), especially if you have it as an alternative to dessert. It’s also great entertainment for the guests!
Even though Chocolate Fountains have been around for quite a few years now we still get so many people coming up to us at each event in amazement saying they have never seen one before!
It was also great to meet all the other exhibitors at the fair. Don’t forget we have a free Wedding Directory where you can advertise for free.

The Fair was also a great opportunity to have some new professional photo’s taken for our website,flyers, business cards and leaflets.
Stuart Herbison of Lemon Lane Photography was kind enough to come along and take some fantastic shots of the Fountain and dips for us. We were very excited to see them for the first time today and would definitely recommend his photography services to anyone.

We will be at the Wedding World Wedding Fair on Sunday 13 September 2009. It is being held at the Bristol Marriott Hotel (City Centre) which is opposite News and Media building between 10.30 am – 4.30 pm.
There will be 92 stands and several fashion shows and everyone will be given a complimentary glass of wine and free wedding magazines.
We will be there with our impressive Chocolate Fountain so come and have a taste of our delicious Belgian Chocolate. We will be offering bookings on the day with a special promotional offer. We will also running a Competition to win free hire of our drinks fountain.
If you are planning on getting married it’s definitely the Wedding Fair you cannot afford to miss!
